French Art Deco Wall Clock in Walnut with Westminster Chimes
This attractive Art Deco wall clock with Westminster chimes was manufactured by the watch and clock-making company Comptoir d'Horlogerie Paris-Besançon of 30 rue Saint-Antoine in Paris (please see details on the clock face) .
The outer case is in walnut veneer with the pendulum front window divided into six panels of bevelled clear glass.
There is convex glass covering the silvered clock face and to the top rear is a hanging bracket. The door pull is in solid brass. The clock comes with a brass pendulum and key that be stored in the holder inside.
All in original condition, it has an eight day movement with full Westminster chimes that can be set to strike every quarter of an hour or on the hour only. It can also be silenced if you prefer.
The clock has a lovely mellow tone. It runs well and keeps good time.
Overall in good condition with only minor age-related marks on the outer case.
