Unusual French Bronze Gueridon Side Table.
 
The beautifully made French Gueridon side table is constructed in decorative cast bronze and onyx. The top globe bears decorative swirling leading down a fluted column passing through an onyx shelf surrounded by a pierced brass gallery.
 
The veined onyx shelf sits on three rectangular supports decorated with floral motifs. At the base of the supports is a round floral disc joining three out-swept legs decorated with bronze putti cherubs with further decoration below.
 
In excellent condition with a well-aged patina and the casting is of superb crisp fine quality. This rare piece is striking and shows skilled craftsmanship throughout.
